The Loser From The Earth's Core is the 21st episode and the second segment of the fourth segment in season four of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.
Plot[]
After a long day of waddling in a pigsty, Billy comes home to find his parents and Nergal having coffee. The trio is told to take care of Nergal for the weekend, however, he ends up staying with them for a year.
Billy has a talk with him over marshmallows and mitten-burning and learns that his uncle is carrying a lot of pain, namely; his disgrace from losing at his family's favorite board game 599 consecutive times. His shortcomings at work and in public are also brought to light. Grim tells Nergal not to worry about being a failure, but to embrace it.
The trio takes Nergal on a journey of self-acceptance, and he slowly learns how to live with being a loser. Finally, he is ready to go home where he is welcomed by his wife and son. Nergal decides to put his new skills to use by playing the dreaded board game. This time he wins - only to send the pieces flying, cracking the ceiling and letting the lava in. Nergal Jr. tells his father that it's good to have him back home with them, his flaws notwithstanding. The episode ends with the trio reminding the viewer that being a failure keeps families together.
