The Greatest Love Story Ever Told Ever is the first segment of the seventh episode of the sixth season of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.
Plot[]
The school is hosting a Valentine's dance, and Irwin plans to invite Mandy and creates an elaborate hand-made card for her. However, being the pathetic coward he is, he doesn't have the nerve to deliver it to her personally, so he asks Nergal Jr. to deliver it for him. Nergal Jr. waits outside Mandy's house to deliver the card, but Mandy believes the card is from him. Before Nergal Jr. can explain, Mandy accepts "his" proposal, upsetting Irwin. Irwin, in between mucus filled sobs, blames Junior, doesn’t let Junior explain and declares that he hates him.
Back home, Nergal Jr. is mad at himself, until his father comes in, and, with some negative (but well-meaning) advice, encourages him to pursue Mandy. Taking his father's advice, Nergal Jr. escorts Mandy to the dance later that week.
At the dance, Nergal Jr. becomes over-protective of Mandy and confronts every other boy at the dance, accusing them of "looking" at Mandy. Billy and Irwin are also at the dance, and whilst Nergal Jr. is getting some punch Irwin walks up to Mandy and asks her to dance with him.
At that moment Nergal Jr. returns and argues with Irwin again. Nergal Jr. throws his punch at Irwin (and misses), with Irwin retaliating and throwing punch back at him. The dance descends into a "punch fight", and afterwards Mandy reveals that she only accepted Nergal Jr's “proposal” to make Irwin jealous and cause both boys to fight over her and wreck the dance, because in Mandy's words, "if I can't enjoy Valentine's Day, then no-one can". Mandy leaves, and Nergal Jr. says "so, this is love". Irwin and Nergal Jr. apologize to each other (Irwin for blaming Junior and Junior for attacking Irwin), and the episode ends with them sadly dancing together in the empty hall.

Trivia[]
- The pair of Indian twins Billy and Irwin end up going with are a reference to Ron Weaseley and Harry Potter's Yule Ball dates, Parvati Patil and Padma Patil in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
- Sperg melting when punch is dumped on him is a reference to The Wizard of Oz, when the Wicked Witch of the West melts after water is dumped on her.
- A living pitcher of punch resembles the Kool-Aid Man. This can be similar to Family Guy which used the Kool-Aid Man first.
- It's unknown if Mindy has a crush on Sperg, though they can be seen hanging out with each other at the dance.
- This is the last episode of Nergal Jr as a major character, and the last time he got any dialogue.
- When Junior mentioned "so, this is love", he made a reference to the ballad with the same name in the Disney romantic comedy Cinderella, when she and Prince Charming danced together.
