|Scythe For Sale|
|Series||The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy|
|Cartoon Network US Premiere||June 17, 2005|
|Paired with||Dream Mutt|
One day, Billy sees a commercial about Sea Critters and desperately wants one himself. When Grim points out that they cost money he doesn't have, Billy figures that he will have to make a few financial sacrifices to obtain what he wants. He starts selling everything he owns, including some things he doesn't own. Irwin shows up to buy Harold's bag of golf clubs, where Grim's scythe is located. After some bizarre bargaining, Irwin is charged an amusement park token. When the three friends locate Irwin with the scythe, Irwin uses magic to hypnotize Mandy into falling in love with him. Grim tries to stop Irwin, who uses the scythe to turn him into an oversized sea critter before leaving with Mandy in a huge wagon.
Irwin then has a "date" with Mandy, including a boat trip where he tries to woo her, but his attempts are foiled when the scythe cuts a hole in the boat, causing it to sink. He rescues her and later brings her back to the golf course, where Billy (using a comb as a mustache "disguise") distracts him while Grim tries to get Mandy to resist the brainwashing. It briefly works, but Irwin quickly sees through the charade and re-hypnotizes her. He then attempts to attack Grim, but Billy distracts him again by mocking him, causing an enraged Irwin to try to vaporize him with the scythe, to no avail. Grim starts catapulting rocks at Irwin, but he easily knocks them aside. He then catapults a bunch of extremely hard sandwiches that Billy made for the yard sale, which successfully knock the scythe out of Irwin's hands (as well as injuring him slightly). All of the damage the scythe caused while in Irwin's hands is undone as Grim reclaims it. Restored to normal, Mandy threatens brutal retribution against Irwin, who cowers in terror.
The scene cuts to Billy's bedroom, where it is revealed that Irwin was turned into a sea critter by Grim and given to Billy as a pet as punishment for his actions. He pleads with Billy to release him, but Billy simply puts a larger, more vicious sea critter inside the fish bowl. The critter eats Irwin, and Billy mutters "What a dork," before laughing as the episode irises out.
