Nancy Claus is a vampire, the wife of Santa Claus, and, three-hundred years prior the events of Billy and Mandy Save Christmas, Nancy was appointed the Head-Head Vampire over all the other head-vampires. She is also the reformed main antagonist of the episode.

History[]

According to her husband, Santa, Nancy was a vampire long before the two of them had even met, but that didn't discourage him from courting her. According to Nancy, Santa having always had, in her own words, a "odd desire to give presents to complete strangers," had shown her the joys of giving, (blood,) not just recieving.

After the two of them got married, they purchased a "Pole of their own". Knowing that that making Christmas every year would be a lot of work, they both agreed to divide the work equaly amongst the two of them. Over the years, however, Santa became more pre-occupied with checking his 'naughty and nice' list and updating it, leaving his wife to pick up his slack. In Nancy's own words, Santa "works one night out of the year," while she is "working her fingers to the bone the other 364".

She is also one of the characters who stole Grim's Scythe in "Billy and Mandy's Big Boogey Adventure".

According to her husband in the Christmas-special, what happened there actually wasn't the first time that Nancy had turned her husband into a vampire -- in fact, by the events of the show's Christmas-special, Nancy has turned her husband into a vampire enough times that Santa now has an emergency system in place for if/when it does happen.

Appearance[]

Nancy is an elderly, slightly overweight woman with long grey hair, wrapped into a swirl shape at the front and tied back into a bun with a piece of mistletoe. She has pale skin with a splatter of freckles across her face. She wears a red-and-white dress with a white bow tied around her back, with a green-and-gold necklace.

In her vampire form, Nancy develops blue skin with yellow eyes, long fangs, and spikey white hair. She wears a white dress with a green belt and a black cape.

Personality[]

In general, Nancy is a very sweet and hard-working lady, and is usually fairly kind to others. However, she frequently feels her husband takes her for granted, as he only works one day a year while Nancy works all the time. As a result, she can become quite overworked. It is heavily implied that she turns her husband into a vampire whenever it becomes too much for her. When this happens, she becomes very aggressive and angry towards others.

Nancy has shown herself to be a great actress. She acted very upset and overdramatic over Santa becoming a vampire, as well as claiming Grim's scythe was filthy in order to take it away from him and lure him, Mandy, and Baron Von Ghoulish into a trap. Of course, this was later revealed to have been an act when she stated she was the one who turned Santa into a vampire.

With that in mind, Nancy does have a genuine kind side to her personality. At first, she had no intention to take over Christmas after she'd bitten Santa, only really deciding to when Mandy accidentally gives her the idea, implying she never actually had any malicious intent. While she did mention "new world order" to Billy, it is possible she simply meant she never intended to reverse the effects on Santa, causing Christmas to be cancelled forever.

In addition, she is truly grateful towards Billy when he offers Nancy his assistance. She has him do a variety of elf-related tasks, but makes her happiness towards him clear, even if Billy doesn't fully understand.

Relationships[]

Santa Claus[]

Santa and Nancy have been married for many years, having started their business together in the North Pole. Despite having bitten him, Nancy loves Santa and has many kind things to say about her husband, saying he is a kind man who taught her the joys of giving blood instead of taking it. Santa feels much the same way about Nancy, highlighting that sometimes you've just got to take risks and believe in the good in others despite their flaws.

With that in mind, their relationship is not perfect. Nancy is often overworked and feels underappreciated by her husband who is often preoccupied with checking his Naughty and Nice list (possibly because of the sheer amount of people on it). As such, she will occasionally take her anger out on him by turning him into a vampire. Likewise, Santa does acknowledge his wife's flaws, stating that her turning him into a vampire is (somewhat of) a reoccurring problem -- as noted above, Nancy's turned her husband into a vampire enough times for Santa to have a special emergency system set in place to counteract the issue (i.e., turn Santa back to normal) for if/when it does happen.

Grim[]

Grim states early on that he and Santa went to college together, implying that he and Nancy have been acquainted with each other through Santa for a long time. Grim is quick to console Nancy when they first arrive at the North Pole and she is quick to greet Grim when he enters the workshop.

However, Nancy is quick to throw Grim under the bus, sending him and Mandy out on a quest to the Head Vampire, Baron Von Ghoulish, to have they destroyed. This was most likely because she was afraid Grim would find out that actually happened to Santa, however it could also be some lingering resentment towards him as Grim expresses a distaste in the living dead.

Billy[]

Nancy grows increasingly fond of Billy during their time together, citing that he is the only person who has ever offered her any help or goodwill. While much of what she ways about the New World Order flies over Billy's head, she is nonetheless grateful to him for his kindness towards her.
