Five-O-Clock Shadows is the first segment of the fourth episode of the fourth season of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy. It first aired alongside Evil Con Carne's "Ultimate Evil", and was later re-aired as part of "Terror of the Black Knight". It is 14 minutes in length instead of the standard 11 or 7 minute segment/episode time.
Plot[]
In this episode, Billy wonders where shadows come from. Mandy doesn't listen and walks away. Soon he asks Grim where shadows come from. He then suggests that Billy and Mandy should go to the Shadow World. Billy and Mandy then discovered it is the same place again. Just then Billy's shadow walks away and he chases him. Mandy tries to escape but then her shadow walks too. She then finds out about her shadow, an enthusiastic, nice girl. Shadow Mandy twists her head around giggling, but Mandy tells Grim to destroy her. Then Billy walks in with his shadow. Grim said that they should stay with their shadows for twelve hours. Grim also warn Billy and Mandy that the Shadow World intersects with many parallel universes, and they are not allowed to open any unusual doors. Billy and his shadow walk to the park. Then Mandy's shadow said that she is going to her magic unicorn garden. Mandy wonders what this magic unicorn garden is.
She then has tea, but Mandy says that her unicorns aren't real. Her shadow smiles nervously as she pours her pretend tea. Meanwhile Billy and his shadow head to a forest full of doors as they play ball. Soon a sausage-like man tells them that if they break one of the windows on the door, a whole bunch of them will walk around the Shadow World. Billy's shadow barks and tells Billy about the door that is broken.
A whole bunch of Billies walk around. Billy suggests they should have soda pop and ice cream. Mandy meanwhile is still angry about her shadow and says that her unicorns are stuffed and not real. Her shadow isn't listening, and says she is feeding them oats, which is really mustard. Mandy also says that her unicorns are made by an old factory in Detroit. Mandy decides to have a talk with her shadow self and forces her to become tough. She explains the things about what her shadow self is doing, and should get rid of the things. Her counterpart becomes tough and begins destroying the unicorns.
Soon Grim then tells it's time to go. Mandy and her shadow walk back to the house. Grim wonders which Mandy is which. Then Billy, Billy's shadow self and the Billies walk to the house. Mandy says that he should take all of them home and they will be playing forever and Grim cries in dismay.
