Dumb Luck is the first segment of the second episode of the third season of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.

Plot[]

While eating at a restaurant, Billy accidentally spills some salt, which Grim warns if he doesn't throw some over his left shoulder that bad luck will start to happen to him. After being kicked out of the restaurant after one of Billy's stupid antics involving pepper and sneezing people, Billy begins to have an unusual amount of bad luck over and over, but Grim finds the answer: a Catastrophe Snail is inside Billy's head. Mandy asks how the Catastrophe Snail got into Billy's head, and Grim comes to the conclusion that it happened at the restaurant when Billy spilled the salt. Grim told Billy to throw salt over his shoulder to prevent bad luck, but Billy panicked. He reached out to grab the salt, but he grabbed the pepper by mistake, thinking it was salt, and threw it over his shoulder. At the same time, the Catastrophe Snail was crawling up Billy's shoulder and once the other customers were sneezing, the snail crawled into Billy's ear and towards Billy's brain. Once he plugged his shell into Billy's brain, he programmed Billy's mind to have nothing but bad luck.

Fearing that the snail is messing up his head, Billy runs into his room while Mandy and Grim conspire to remove the snail from Billy's brain. Billy escapes from his room and climbs up a tree, where he gets stung by a thousand bees and savage dogs bark at him below. Grim threatens Billy with a wet-willy if he doesn't come down, and once Billy falls, Grim levitates Billy into the house where Mandy and Grim tie up Billy in a chair while Grim administers the wet-willy and removes the snail from his brain. The snail hisses and jumps onto Mandy's face, but Mandy, furious, plucks the snail off her face and throws the snail at the wall where Grim roasts the snail with his scythe before eating it (much to Mandy's disgust).

They untie Billy and he walks into the door. Billy panics that he still has bad luck, but Grim tells him that Billy is just stupid. And everyone, except Mandy, walk out, laughing.
