Synopsis[]
Grim is seen in a commercial for a laxative brand, and at the end of it he announces that there will be a 500 word essay contest to spend the day with Grim. Grim is ecstatic about the winner of the contest while Billy and Mandy looks themselves on boredom over Grim. When the door rings though, it is Fred Fredburger. Fred spells his name and points out that Mandy has "no nose". Grim asks Fred to leave, but Fred explains that he won the essay contest. Fred gives the trio the essay he wrote, and it turns out that all Fred wants to do is go out and have some frozen yogurt. When Grim is confused that Fred's only wish is to eat frozen yogurt, Billy says that Fred's obviously a man of simple pleasures, and after seeing Fred turn on a lamp and become easily/overly impressed with it, Grim snarks with, "Very simple." Grim goes down to the Underworld, sure that it's a mistake that Fred's winner, and asks the kids to keep an eye on him while he's gone.
At UnderCorp In the Underworld, Grim protests that Fred's essay couldn't have been the best and demands to see the other entries. A large pile of essays is dropped on Grim showing many essays, much to Grim's enjoyment -- but upon reading them, Grim notices how they're identical to the essay that Fred had shown him and the kids. The executives explain that Fred had written every single one of those essays -- in fact, he was the only person who actually entered the contest to meet and hang out with Grim. After showing Grim a chart, it shows that since Grim's commercial, the sales have plummeted since in truth, no one wants a product with "death on it". Grim begs the executives to give him one last chance and not being to fire him, saying he will make Fred's day with him so great it will be a public relation success, and the executives threaten him if that doesn't happen, he will be fired and beaten senseless.
At an Endsville-frozen yogurt shop. Fred, Grim, Billy and Mandy are wait in line for him after he's choosing color flavors of yogurt that he want. Fred has trouble deciding what color of the flavors to get, and by then, he gets both chocolate and mint-flavored yogurt. After Mandy looks on with annoyance in a row combined in "brain freeze stereo" from the shouting of Fred and Billy, Grim tells Mandy wants to take a picture of Fred's day with him. Fred though is being distracted by his yogurt which also messes up the photo while Mandy repeatedly snapping a picture of Grim and Fred when they were "not ready". When they are about to finally get it though, Billy gets in the way of the last picture and ruins it. This causes Grim to hit the table out of anger, which accidentally causes Fred's yogurt to fly into the air and down to the floor. Fred has an emotional breakdown, accuses Grim of "killing" his yogurt and hides away in the freezer while Billy then verifying calls Grim a "yogurt killer" even though it was clearly his own fault. Grim runs along the shop and sees Fred hiding in the freezer. Grim tells Fred to get out, but he refuses. Grim again asks Mandy how he's going to get Fred to have a good time now. Mandy grabs Fred's essay and writes about that Fred wanted to go to Sassy Cat Land, other too. After some encouragement from Billy and Mandy about the amusement parks of fun rides, silly characters, hot dogs and nachos, Fred finally gets out of the freezer in happiness. At the amusement park, when they go on the spinning rides, Fred accidentally flies out of one of them, due to him not properly holding on as a result of his hyperactive stupidity. This causes Grim to get in trouble with the executives.
Believing Fred to be dead, Grim now is fired, beaten senseless by the CEOs with baseball bats, burned by a flamethrower, and spilled hot coffee on him. The final scene of the episode then shows in an unknown location where Fred winds up "completely fine" after he is rescued from a snow drift by a yeti. The yeti brings him to his people who sound exactly like Fred, and even have both plenty of nachos and frozen yogurt. They said that he has a good name.
Credits[]
- Story and Storyboard by: Carl Greenblatt

Trivia[]
- One of the executives resembles SpongeBob SquarePants from the Nickelodeon series of the same name. Coincidentally, CH Greenblatt was a writer on the show.
- The other two executives resemble James P. Sullivan and Henry J. Waternoose from Pixar's animated film Monsters Inc.
- The title of the episode is a pun on the Mel Brooks quote, "Be afraid, be very afraid.", with the word "afraid" being replaced with "A-Fred".
- Grim tells the employee at the frozen yogurt store to put all the toppings on Fred's yogurt. However, when they're eating their yogurt, no toppings are shown.
- This is the last normal episode to feature Fred Fredburger. He made further appearances in the movies Billy & Mandy's Big Boogey Adventure and Underfist: Halloween Bash as well as the crossover episodes The Grim Adventures of the KND and Crisis on Infinite Mirths.
- The scene where Fred & Billy take turns screaming from getting Brain Freeze from eating their frozen yogurt is very similar to the scene in the Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends episode "Infernal Slumber" where Cheese & Bloo get Brain Freezes and scream from taking turns sipping on Coco's smoothie.
- Coincidently, the episode premiered on Cartoon Network exactly a week before this episode first aired.
- The name of the yogurt store, "You Gotta Be Kidding Me, Right? No, It's Totally Yogurt!" is a parody of the real-life store chains I Can't Believe It's Yogurt! and TCBY (formerly known as "This Can't Be Yogurt").
